Miles J. Austin III is a Partner at Cedar Bay.  In this role, he is responsible for developing strategic relationships and deal sourcing across the firm’s investment platform. 

 

Mr. Austin also brings a wealth of experience in real estate investing, with a successful track record of transactions in both single-family and multifamily properties throughout the United States.  Before transitioning into finance, Mr. Austin enjoyed a distinguished career in professional football.  He served as a coach in the National Football League (NFL) with the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers, and previously worked in the front office of the Dallas Cowboys as part of their scouting department.  As a player, Mr. Austin spent 10 seasons as a wide receiver in the NFL, most notably with the Dallas Cowboys, where he earned Pro Bowl honors twice. 

 

In addition to his business and sports career, Mr. Austin is the founder of the Austin Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth programs focused on character development and community engagement in underserved areas.  Mr. Austin holds a degree in Political Science from Monmouth University, where he also serves on the Board of Trustees.
